For 50 years and with more than 1 million participants, Outward Bound continues to lead the way in outdoor adventure-education for youth and adults. With locations throughout the United States and Internationally and over 500 courses to choose from, your perfect adventure awaits!
Outward Bound programs emphasize personal growth through experience and challenge in the wilderness. Students develop self-reliance, responsibility, teamwork, confidence, compassion, as well as environmental and community stewardship.
Courses range in length from four days to three months, for ages 12 to 45+. Activities include backpacking, canoeing, rock climbing, mountaineering, white water rafting, sailing, dog sledding, skiing and much more. Scholarships are available.

With its world premiere of Inside Out & Back Again, Bay Area Children's Theatre (BACT) brings to the stage the New York Times bestselling book of the same name by award-winning author Thanhha Lai, whose own life experience inspired the poignant story of 10-year-old HÃ who flees war-ravaged Saigon with her mother and brothers and must start a new life as a refugee in Alabama.
Inside Out & Back Again, opens Saturday, March 31, at 11 a.m. at Bay Area Children's Theatre, 2055 Center Street, Berkeley, CA 94704. The production plays Fridays at 7 p.m. and weekends at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. through Sunday, May 27.
Adapted for the stage by Min Kahng and directed by May Liang, Inside Out & Back Again tells HÃ 's story of loss, change, hope, and resilience using the poetry from the book. Recommended for age 8 and up.
